Mississippi Gulf Coast: Jackson, Harrison and Hancock Counties

The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce in conjunction with the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce-Main Street-Tourism Bureau and Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, are pleased to announce the One Coast Awards. The One Coast Awards are the re-branding of the former Roland Weeks Hall of Fame, The Sun Herald Top 10 Under 40 and Community Leader Awards.

In addition to the One Coast Awards, there is Visit Mississippi Gulf Coast (, providing promotion and resources for the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast.  Together the Mississippi Gulf Coast continues its resilient nature while continuously building a stronger coast, unified together, for its residents, employees and tourists alike.

One Coast Awards:

“South Mississippi is known for its resilient citizens.  In order for an area to have that reputation, one must assume, we do not have a shortage of leaders in our community.  These leaders need to be recognized and thanked for their tremendous contribution to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, state line to state line,” said Carla Todd, IOM, President and CEO of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce.

The Roland Weeks Hall of Fame was established in 2002 by The Sun Herald. He has been advocating the need for vision and community for more than four decades in efforts to bring everyone together. The Top 10 Under 40 and Community Leader Awards were developed to recognize community leaders and strong, up-and-coming young business leaders as examples in the Roland Weeks Leadership Hall of Fame, named for the long time publisher of the Sun Herald.

The One Coast Awards were created to continue the ideal that One Coast is a regional belief that our common interests far outweigh any difference; an awareness that what benefits one, ultimately benefits all; a celebration of our unique communities and an attitude of no boundaries.
